TME Troubleshoots

Your biggest challenge

“Our audience isn't growing (newsletter, socials etc.) even though we've been posting.”

What tme says

Growing your audience takes time, especially in the beginning. If you’ve given it some time, and are still getting little to no traction, here are a few things you can consider.

Value creation - we mention this quite a bit, and it’s for good reason. Is your platform giving something to your audience that they don’t get elsewhere or can they find the same posts across all your accounts? Clarify the value of each of your channels.

Pull offers/lead magnets - give people an incentive to join your newsletter or follow you on socials. You’ve seen it before - it’s the downloadable e-books, the 10% discount or anything else that your audience would find value in. If you’re going down the paid route, this could look like partnerships with aligned brands that increase your exposure to a qualified audience.

Consider the setting - what you post is determined by what platform you’re on and what your audience does on each platform. Your message, creative and call-to-action have to be appropriate for each setting. Understand that some touch points exist for awareness only - increasing the frequency and recency effects of your brand. Other touch points are better suited for conversion or actions. The price point of your product is also going to influence what you say and when you say it - a high-investment product isn’t going to convert on a low-investment channel.

Copywriting and creative - Are you presenting your brand in a professional way that makes sense to your audience? Does it convey the story you want to tell?
